Fora Horizon 4 In Poll Position For October's Xbox Game Pass Lineup

Last month's Xbox Game Pass lineup was pretty impressive. 13 games, including Quantum Break, Onrush, and the meaty Master Chief Collection, were added to the subscription service.

In order to keep paying players happy, it was clear Microsoft had to pull a couple big names out the bag for October's roster - and they've done just that.

A total of seven games will be up for free download at some point next month, more than enough to keep you busy until November. Or, at least, until Red Dead Redemption 2 releases on 26 October.

Wolfenstein: The New Order, Metro 2033 Redux, Westerado: Double Barreled, Lego Indiana Jones, Shantae: Half-Genie Hero, and Split/Second will join the already impressive Xbox Game Pass catalogue on 1 October.

And if that wasn't enough, the highly anticipated Forza Horizon 4 will be offered on 2 October - the same day it officially releases. Microsoft promised Xbox users that any game developed in-house (exclusives) will go directly to the Game Pass, with the open world racing game set to be the next.

"Live the Horizon Life when you play Forza Horizon 4. Experience a shared world with dynamic seasons. Explore beautiful scenery, collect over 450 cars and become a Horizon Superstar in historic Britain."

New releases lacked in both Microsoft's and Sony's subscription services, but at least one side of the coin is combating the problem. The launch of Rare's Sea of Thieves saw the first brand-new title introduced to the Game Pass, and it's one of the reasons why I subscribed in the first place.

I'm looking forward to see whether Halo: Infinite will follow suit or if the rules will slightly bend for the long awaited sequel, otherwise known as Halo 6.

What do you think about this lineup? Which game will you be playing the most? Make sure you let us know.
